Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery RN

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Schedule Requirements:

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on July 4, 2026
• No on-call requirements

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Fit test
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start; excludes THC)
• COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster by September 2025) or approved exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• Influenza vaccine proof or approved exemption for current flu season (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• MMR vaccination proof (2 doses or IgG titer)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
• Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test; if positive TB, chest x-ray per regional requirements
• Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
• Color vision test

Professional & Background Requirements

• Resume and skills checklist (within the last year)
• Two professional references
• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years, including SSN verification; must be dated within 30 days of start)
• Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
• OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including aliases and locations
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure form
• Code of Conduct form
• Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement
• Integrity and Audit Services form (signed shortly before start)
• Joint Commission CORE exam (within last year)
• Specialty-specific competency testing (completed within last year)
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
• System Access form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
• Signed job description

Additional Notes

• All certifications and verifications must include scanned copies with expiration dates where applicable.
• Drug screen must be completed and resulted before start date with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature.
• All background and credential verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
