Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) - Northampton, MA
Position Details
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Nursing
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM ā 7:00 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
- Schedule: Every other weekend; may consider 48-hour shifts
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Alternate Consideration: Postpartum nurse role may be considered instead of Labor & Delivery
Job Description
- Provide family-centered care for patients with antepartum medical conditions, patients in labor (vaginal and Cesarean-section), newborns, postpartum patients, and patients with gynecological conditions.
- Interact with adult patients on an interdisciplinary level, adapting communication to individual intellectual and physical abilities.
Required Certifications and Licenses
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification: MGB EFM or AWHONN accepted
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Post Partum experience
