Job Opportunity: Adult Psych RN

Location

Salem, Massachusetts

Position Details

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: 30-bed Adult Psychiatric Unit (ages 18-65)
Patient Population: Adults with diverse mental health issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, dual diagnosis (including detox), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, wound care, diabetic care)
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1 RN to 7-8 patients
Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC
Floating: Required
Shift Rotation: Required for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a); Night positions do not require rotation
Weekly Hours: 36 hours, rotating every other week (EOW)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, including psychiatric experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience working with adult patients in an inpatient setting
Experience in charge nurse roles
