Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Travel Assignment

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Primary units: CVICU & Neuro ICU experience preferred but not required
• Will float to Neuro ICU and Burn ICU
• Patient assignments will be within skill set; may include Med/Surg/IMC patients if needed
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles

Required Specialty Experience

• Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU experience
• No explicit years of experience stated; assume standard ICU RN experience required

Certifications & Licenses (Must Have)

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current RN license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)

Required Health & Compliance Credentials

• Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; completed within a year and updated yearly)
• NIH Certification (updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score required)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (training and test results required)
• MMR vaccination or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test (annual, preferred prior to start)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Professional Requirements

• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile)
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days of first assignment, updated annually)
• EPLS check within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
• Education Verification within 90 days of start
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation
• Employment Verification for past 7 years, updated annually
• Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Must be able to float to different units and locations within 40 miles as needed
• Must complete various onboarding and compliance trainings prior to or at start of assignment

This position is ideal for ICU RNs comfortable with floating between critical care units and flexible with patient assignments within their skill set.
