Job Opportunity: RN Step Down
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a unit with the greatest need, which may be Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg), or Telemetry (Tele) based on your skills.
- Acceptable to have experience as a Med-Surg or Stepdown RN; credentialing is the same for both.
- Must be willing to float onsite within your skill set or to other sites within a 40-mile radius if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown experience, with Stepdown experience within the last year.
- Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Information
- Must complete and maintain annual updates for specialty exams, skills checklists, and health screenings.
- Some optional checklists may be required by unit leadership after onboarding.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this assignment.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with acute care skills in PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry who are flexible and able to work varied units within a regional area.
