Registered Nurse – PCU/Telemetry

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Must have 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience.
• Float pool participation is required.
• Epic electronic health record experience within the last year is mandatory and must be documented on the resume.
• No block schedules allowed; requests for block schedules or more than 7 days of Return to Office (RTO) will result in automatic rejection.
• RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Accredited nursing degree required from ACEN or CCNE.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Recent Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience.
• Telemetry nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged; medical or religious exemptions are reviewed case-by-case.
• Influenza vaccine required October through April; exemptions require agency approval and documentation.
• All required verifications and screenings must be current and repeated if there is a break in service of 30 days or more.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with recent MS and telemetry experience who are comfortable working night shifts and floating across units.
