Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Location: Oxford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Must have ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Experience with both adult and nursery patients required
Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
Weekends and holidays required

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
Experience working with adult patients
Experience working with nursery patients

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Proof of I-9 or attestation
Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension
Education verification (diploma acceptable if education cannot be verified)
Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months prior to start
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Additional Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
Completion of employment application/resume
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement
Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
