Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (facility may low census/cancel 36 hours per contract)
• Call Requirement: Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including weekends
• Weekend Requirement: Call includes weekends
• Locals Accepted: No (candidate must be more than 70 miles from the facility)
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Pending License: Accepted at manager's discretion
• RTO (Return to Office) Restrictions: Must be submitted with application; additional requests at manager discretion

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Experience required with outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings
• Proficient with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies
• Experience with procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, genitourinary, abdomen and pelvis, and upper/lower extremities
• Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, Snare Kits, and injector systems (preferably ACIST)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required

Certifications & Licenses

• Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Preferred/Additional:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
  • NIH Stroke Certification (updated annually) may be required
• License: Must hold a valid state license appropriate for Radiology Technologists in Missouri or compact state license if applicable

Special Requirements

• Must complete background checks including criminal background, state-specific searches, and family care safety registry as applicable
• Required health documents include:

  • Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes
  • Drug screening within 12 months of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (renewed annually)
  • COVID vaccination preferred
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing completed onsite during orientation)
• Must complete facility-specific orientation modules and training, including online training for ICU/CCU or Cath Lab if applicable
• Photo for badge required (passport style, plain background)
• Must be willing to be clean-shaven for fit testing (no PAPR/CAPR provided or accepted at this location)
