Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia.
• Day shift: 7:00–19:00.
• 48 hours per week.
• 52-week contract.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
• Can approve 40 hours for time off; no RTO can be approved in the first 2 weeks of assignment.
• Clinical review and auto offer.

Unit / Float Scope

• PEDS Float Pool position.
• Floating to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby.
• Must adhere to float policy.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year.
• 1 year of Critical Care Float experience.
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience.
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
• Dr. Brown's Infant-Driven Feeding Certification.
• Experience with Epic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Peds PACU experience.
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered.

Scheduling Notes

• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
