Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, night shift
• Shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Working every third weekend
• End of hour (EOH) shift

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months of Emergency Room (ER) experience

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Massachusetts RN license
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for ER
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, required for ER
• Medication Exam/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RNs
• Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and Telemetry Exams) with minimum 80% on first day of orientation
• NURSYS Verification (RN) within 30 days prior to start

Preferred Certifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred for ER

Prior Travel Experience

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release, updated annually
• 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start, with annual updates for direct candidates

• Education Verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if EDV unperformable)
• Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (tracking only)

• Various immunization and declination documentation as applicable:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccination or declination)

  • Hepatitis B (3-dose series, reactive titer, or declination)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) with titers, vaccines, or declinations (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccines, history, or declination)
• TB testing: Two PPDs or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 90 days; chest x-ray if positive TB
• Completion of required compliance attestations related to background and iCORI checks

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable
