Job Description
Labor and Delivery, Day Shift
Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA certified
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Must be AHA certified
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN or C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery
- Required years of experience: 2 years
- No explicit mention of prior travel experience required
Required Certifications and Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN or C-EFM certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) may be required based on specialty
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam as applicable
- Fire Card issued by an LAFD-approved instructor (must be obtained within 30 days of start)
- Assault Response Competency (ARC) training (live 4-hour training onsite, to be completed within 30 days of start)
Licensure and Background Checks
- Valid State Nursing License verification required
- Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Transcript, Diploma, or Education Verification required
- Employment application required
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam clearance within the past year
- Fit mask test (3M Aura 9205+ or 3M1860s)
- Immunizations and tests required:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B series or positive titer
- Varicella (Chickenpox) immunity
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (September - March)
- COVID vaccination plus booster
- Color vision exam (14 Plate Ishihara Test) required for certain departments
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge

- Access form, voluntary meal waiver, arbitration agreement required
- De-escalation modules attestation required for Emergency Department and CNAs
