Job Overview
- Location: Seattle, Washington
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Setting
- Level III or IV NICU
- Care for infants as early as 23–24 weeks gestation
- Rarely floats, but may be assigned to newborn care or pediatrics with infants only
Clinical Skills and Experience
- No ECMO
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency vents, oscillators, vents
- Blood and blood product administration
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Cooling/warming blanket use
- Feeding tubes
- PICC/central lines
- Syringe pumps
- Attendance at high-risk deliveries
- Neonatal surgeries
Schedule Notes
- Block scheduling may be approved if preferred
- May work 3 or more shifts in a row
