Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
8-week assignment

Unit / Setting

Float pool assignment for Med-Surg units
Adult and geriatric patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
1 year of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
RN medication administration competency exam required on first day for roles that administer medication
Background check and state exclusion screening required
2 professional references within 3 years of start

PICC line management
Starting IVs
Nasal cannula
Isolation precautions

Health / Compliance Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB screening within 1 year of start
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID, and flu documentation/vaccination requirements
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start

Additional Notes

Candidates within 75 miles are considered local and must be noted upon submission
Local candidates are considered at a reduced rate
Facility-provided modules must be completed before start; up to 3 hours of module time is paid
