Job Overview

  • Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12 hours
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: May be required within skillset
  • Local candidates: Accepted within 50 miles of the primary work location, with reduced local rate
  • First-time travelers: Accepted
  • Travel pairs: Not accepted
  • Primary schedule: This assignment must be the candidate’s primary schedule if they have additional jobs

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Experience with Jet/oscillator ventilation
  • Experience with Nitric Oxide (iNO) therapy

Required Certifications

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • RRT

Schedule / Availability Notes

  • Up to 5 days of requested time off must be submitted with the application and approved by the facility

  • Background check
  • SAM search
  • OIG search
  • References: 3 required, including one supervisor-level reference
  • Work history verification showing at least 1 year prior to start date, with no gaps over 30 days
  • Skills checklist
  • Employment application must reflect at least 2 years of acute care experience

  • Orientation self-study packet must be reviewed and signed before start
  • Physical exam / fit-to-work statement
  • Tdap
  • TB screening or chest X-ray
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and flu documentation
  • Drug screen
  • COVID-19 booster attestation if not eligible to receive vaccination before contract start
