Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (9:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Must be open to working any weekdays; no specific day off or block scheduling accommodated
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications required:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Experience & References

• Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates worked

Additional Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Education verification required for nursing degree
• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to another facility within reasonable distance

• Acute Care Hospital with 320 staffed beds
• Charting system: Meditech
• Free parking available

Notes

• Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission

This position is ideal for experienced PACU RNs seeking a travel contract with a stable weekday schedule and a well-rounded surgical experience.
