Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide patient evaluation and administer treatment procedures as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Contribute to departmental advancement through quality improvement, inservice presentations, and constructive suggestions.
• May participate in student education after the first year of service.
• Work schedule: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience as a Physical Therapist
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (AHA only).
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology.
• Core competencies (Parts I, II, III) updated annually.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required depending on unit assignment.
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit or specialty.

• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
