Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiation Therapy)
• Licensure: Must hold a valid Radiation Therapist license for California (CPDH Certificate required)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates worked

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and Testing:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test (IGRA/TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs) within 12 months; annual updates required
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine during flu season (9/1–3/30) or declination
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable
• Fit Mask Test: Required for travel candidates; must be updated annually
• Respirator Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates; virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed healthcare professional

Background and Verification

• Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; includes SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, education verification, and more
• Education Verification: Required for all candidates; nursing degree verification for RNs/LVNs, related degree or high school for allied/non-clinical
• NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs as applicable
• Work History Verification: Required if exceptions to reference requirements are requested; minimum 5 years verified work history
• State-Specific Checks:

  • Washington and Oregon candidates may have additional state-specific background and registry checks (not applicable here)

Competencies and Training

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable
• Competency Exams: Required as applicable by specialty
• Epic Training: Must complete Epic modules as assigned during orientation
• Annual Regulatory and Specialty-Specific Modules: Required annually via LMS (Workramp)
• Skills Checklist: Required for applicable units, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
• Float Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
