Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 4 days a week (32 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process, focusing on cardiac care.
Develop advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology related to cardio-thoracic surgery, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablation, and pacemaker/defibrillator insertion.
Perform pre-procedure assessments for outpatients scheduled in the Cath Lab.
Serve in scrubbing and circulating roles in both the cardiac OR and Cath Lab.
Participate in on-call rotation shared among department Nurse Clinicians, including rotating weekends.
Assist in other clinical areas within the Heart Center, support research, maintain databases, teach, and contribute to program development and administrative functions.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
