NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - California, Madera

Position Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (NICU)
• Required NICU experience: Level III NICU experience
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 11.5 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Complete Orientation Guide Post Test prior to start
• Complete Non-Employee Personal Information Sheet
• Medication Test Study Guide review prior to start (exam on first day)
• Respirator clearance form or equivalent required (updated annually for direct placements)
• Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required with passing score of 80% or higher as applicable

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is preferred but not mandatory.
• Facility allows starting with pending education verification if necessary.
• Fit test cost onsite is $35 if not completed prior to start.
• Flu vaccine must be submitted by October 31 for all candidates during flu season.
• No annual background check required by facility, but agency requires annual background check for direct candidates.
