Job Description

• Position: Nursing Shift Supervisor
• Shifts: Evening/Night Monday-Friday and Day/Night on weekends
• Experience Required: Inpatient supervisory experience
• Licensure: Must have a New York license in hand

Certifications Required

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA only)
• BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA only)
• PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA only)
• State License Verification: Primary source verification required

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam: Current Health Form/Physical Fitness for Duty signed and dated by a provider within a year of start
• Fit Mask: Must be updated annually; Fit Testing required on RGH campus
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: PPD or IGRA test within 12 months of start; CXR required for history of past positive TB test
• Vaccination Records:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation: Required year-round
• Eye Exam: Snellen Eye Exam required within 1 year of contract start date
• Drug Testing: Required within 30 days of start date

Background and History Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Must be no older than 3 months from start date
• Employment References: Minimum of 2 required
• Current Resume/CV: Required
• Education Verification: Academic verification from a third party required

Additional Information

• COVID-19 Vaccination: Preferred, not required
• Fingerprinting: Required for Mental Health and LTC units per facility request
