Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Employment Type: Temporary
- Work Hours: 36-40 hours/week (OT billable after 40 hours)
- Unit Bed Size: 24
- Patient Ratios:
- Days/Evenings: 1:5
- Nights: 1:6
- Float: Between Med Surg and Stepdown units
- Dress Code: Navy or black tops and bottoms, solids
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 24 months of current experience in Med Surg / Medical Surgical / Oncology / Neurology
- Minimum 18 months nursing experience in a hospital/medical center setting
- Experience administering:
- Heparin
- Cardizem
- Amiodarone
- Proficiency in caring for:
- Neurology patients
- Oncology patients
- Skills checklist specific to Med Surg / Oncology / Neurology disciplines
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification
- Driver’s license
- NIH Stroke Scale certificate is highly preferred (can be obtained during onboarding)

- Orientation dates available
- Prior travel experience not required (1st time travelers welcomed)
This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs with strong skills in neurology and oncology patient care, comfortable working night shifts and floating between units.
