Overview
- Travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
- Unit: 3rd Floor, Building A
- 25-bed unit
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with IV Pumps
- Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH
- CPI
Unit Details
- Patient ratios: Days 5-6:1; Nights 6:1
- Staffing includes a Unit Secretary on days and 2-3 PCTs on days and nights
- Equipment includes Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Schedule includes every other weekend; weekdays are flexible
- Floating is most often between MS units
- Patient experience expectations include BSSR and Hourly Rounding
Procedures Performed on Unit
- IV and foley catheter placement
Dress Code
- Black or Royal Blue scrubs
