Job Summary

Seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with 3-5 years of experience, preferably familiar with the LDRP model. The role involves care in labor and delivery, postpartum, c-section circulation, and special care nursery.

Assignment Details

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts), rotating shifts with self-scheduling
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Call Requirements: Yes
Unit: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 1:6 (unit census varies from 3 to 24 patients)
Patient Population: Neonates and adults
Equipment: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV pumps
Electronic Health Records: Cerner, Powerchart / Omnicell Med System

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience recovering C-sections
Knowledge and experience with epidural anesthesia pain assessment and management
Proficiency in relevant Labor and Delivery procedures

Additional Information

No first-time travelers accepted for this assignment
No float requirements
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
