Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Experience caring for stable patients
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
