Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac experience
Location: Nashville, TN
Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 32
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Scheduling: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
Floating Policy: Float as needed based on unit census
Documentation System: Meditech
Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
Unit Support: Student nurse externs as techs, unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty (Cardiac nursing)
Must Have: Cardiac experience and strong critical care skills
Advanced Skills Preferred:
- PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Impella device
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred
Procedures Performed on Unit: Central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, intubations

Certifications & Licenses

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Additional Information

Growing cardiogenic shock program with specialized providers
12 beds dedicated to cardiogenic shock patients
Excellent teamwork and engaged staff
Dress Code: Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black); scrub jackets or vests only
