RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems under general supervision. Responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned group of patients
Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
Assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
Administering medications, IV infusions, and blood products
Communicating care plans with patients and families
Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel
Delegating tasks to support staff

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
At least 2 years of total travel nursing experience
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school

Licenses & Certifications

Valid RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
