Registered Nurse (RN) Flex Pool - Nights

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Employment Type

Contract
Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (18:45 to 07:15)
Scheduled 36 hours per week after first week of orientation
No guaranteed hours

Job Description

Float between various medical and surgical units including:
- Medical Unit (77 beds)
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute, 18 beds)
- Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds, rare occasions)
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Laulima Unit: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Use of equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
Orientation provided for each unit
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Stepdown experience, with Stepdown experience within the last year
Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire; clean scrubs

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is required
