Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Hours: 36 hours per week (.9 FTE)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Setting: Primarily inpatient hospice unit with potential in-home hospice visits as needed

Provide comprehensive nursing care focused on comfort and symptom management for terminally ill patients
Administer medications and interventions as ordered by physicians
Continuously assess patient needs to ensure a dignified, comfortable end-of-life experience
Supervise and delegate nursing support tasks to CNAs, ensuring safety, compassion, and adherence to care plans
Monitor CNA documentation for accuracy and provide mentorship and feedback
Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and contribute to care planning and family education
Provide emotional support and guidance to families and caregivers during end-of-life care
Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and communications in compliance with regulatory standards
Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff

Current RN license valid in Montana or Compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in hospice, palliative care, critical care, or medical-surgical nursing
Experience working in a unionized healthcare environment
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
