Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Operating Room
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Provide nursing care for patients during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process. The position involves working in a Level III trauma center with multiple surgical suites, including robotics-assisted surgeries and a variety of surgical specialties such as General, Orthopedics, Brain/Spine, OB-GYN, ENT, Neuro, Plastics, Urology, Pediatrics, and Trauma.
Shifts:
- 4 to 10-hour day shifts per week
- Rotating evening, night, and weekend call
- Typically, 1 call weekend (Friday 7 PM to Monday 7 AM) and 4-5 weeknight call shifts per 8-week scheduling period
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility
- Housing option available: furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments near the hospital (subject to availability)
