Physical Therapist Assistant - Contract Opportunity

Location: Rutland, Vermont

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Description

• Work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans following federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and APTA guidelines.
• Assist in developing plans of care to promote optimal functional independence and safety.
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments including restorative and maintenance therapeutic techniques and patient/caregiver education.
• Assess patient status and progress on each visit, ensuring quality of care and proper clinical documentation.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, caregivers, physical therapists, other rehab services, and students to ensure optimal communication and care.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions promptly to the case manager.
• Communicate ongoing clinical and operational activities with supervising physical therapists to maximize quality of care.
• Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards to accurately reflect care provided and outcomes achieved.
• Maintain and enhance personal knowledge and promote physical therapy standards.
• Stay current with HHCAHPS standards and integrate them into visit protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Vermont.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year.

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
