Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Weekends as needed
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• 2 years of experience preferred

Job Details

• Critical access emergency department
• Travelers will triage
• No fast track
• Intermixed ER holds
• One safe room; sitters available
• 24/7 security coverage, with possible gaps if the guard is out
• Average volume: 35 patients per day
• Patient mix includes pediatrics and adults
• Common cases include chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lacerations, STEMI, stroke, trauma, and military patients
• Common drips include procedural sedation, TNK, and other standard ER drips
• 1 MD and 1 APP on site
• Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take patients
• 1 CNA; sitters available to call in
• RT covers the hospital 24/7
• RN typically draws labs
• X-ray and CT available
• 2-day unit orientation
• Must start by 09/14
• Radius rule: candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
