Emergency Room RN
Location
- Mountain Home, Idaho
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Weekends as needed
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- 2 years of experience preferred
Job Details
- Critical access emergency department
- Travelers will triage
- No fast track
- Intermixed ER holds
- One safe room; sitters available
- 24/7 security coverage, with possible gaps if the guard is out
- Average volume: 35 patients per day
- Patient mix includes pediatrics and adults
- Common cases include chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lacerations, STEMI, stroke, trauma, and military patients
- Common drips include procedural sedation, TNK, and other standard ER drips
- 1 MD and 1 APP on site
- Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take patients
- 1 CNA; sitters available to call in
- RT covers the hospital 24/7
- RN typically draws labs
- X-ray and CT available
- 2-day unit orientation
- Must start by 09/14
- Radius rule: candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
