Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery)

Location: Cherokee, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Fri, Sat, Sun, 6pm–6am)
Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

Job Description

• Seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for night shifts in a rural hospital setting.
• Opportunity to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient care.
• Candidate may cross-train to Critical Care Unit (CCU) and/or House Supervisor roles if suitable.
• Must be willing to float to Medical-Surgical units to ensure full hours.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Mandatory Reporter certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience: Must be an experienced OB RN or an RN with a strong desire to work in Obstetrics.

Additional Information

• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Solid clinical skills and excellent customer service are essential.
• The role involves weekend coverage and requires flexibility to float between units.
