Overview

• Role: RN (Registered Nurse)
• Specialty/Unit: MS/Tele 4N
• Location: Westminster, Colorado
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Must be able to work with cardiac drips
• Must be able to work post cath lab
• Must be able to titrate drips
• RN license

Unit Details

• Unit/Department: MS 4N (Gen)
• Float pool includes: MS & Tele
• Floating to like units is expected
• If there is an extreme need, may float within Zone 3
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 day shift; 1:5 night shift
• Tele techs monitor 24/7; RN co-signs strips
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Nurse aides are on the unit

Patient Population

• Congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Hypertension and chest pain work-ups
• COPD exacerbations
• Asthma
• Pneumonia
• Pancreatitis
• Bowel obstructions
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Acute renal failure

Scheduling

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling
• Weekend requirement: minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: yes
• Call/standby requirement: determined by nurse manager
• Set schedule communicated through the nurse manager

Equipment / Clinical Support

• CPAP
• HFNC
• NRB

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
• Caribbean blue scrubs for RNs at SAN

Orientation

• Orientation week includes assigned date and location
• Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote

Additional Notes

• Radius: 60 miles
• Driver’s license must be submitted
• Hiring process includes interview with the MedSol Clinical Team
• No unit manager involvement
