Job Overview
- Position: ER Registered Nurse
- Location: Quincy, Illinois
- Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
- Patient Population: Adults and children
- Unit Size: 30 beds (27 medical beds, 3 ED psychiatric beds)
- Patient Volume: Average 120 patients per day (range 100-140)
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12 hours per shift, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Immediate start required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Staffed according to average daily census with various shift ranges
- Practice includes POD nursing assignments
- Facility is accredited for chest pain and is a full treatment center for sexual assault survivors
