Job Description

• Shift: Days, 5 AM - 5 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Required to work every other weekend
• Scope of Role: All CVIC nurses rotate between ICU and stepdown
• Patient Ratio: 2:1 in ICU, 4:1 in Stepdown

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience; CVIC experience preferred
• Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS
• Required Skills:

  • Invasive line monitoring
  • Central lines
  • Ventilators
  • Chest tubes
  • Vasoactive drips
  • Bedside procedures

Additional Information

• Float Requirements: May float to other ICUs
• Number of Beds in Unit: 42 total (22 ICU, 20 Stepdown)
• Department Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• EMR Used: Cerner
• Travel Requirements: Candidates must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.

Orientation

• Approved Orientation Dates: Must start on the Monday of the pay period starting 2/10/25 and every two weeks thereafter.

Important Notes

• Travelers must attach required license and certifications or will be rejected.
• No RTO (Request Time Off) during holiday weeks; if not assigned a holiday, must work the day before or after.
