Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - Wichita, Kansas
Job Details
- Specialty: Physical Therapist (PT)

- Location: Wichita, Kansas
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Facility Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Number of Beds: 41 (brand new inpatient facility)
- Staffing: 15-20 therapy staff daily across disciplines (PT, OT, SLP)
- PT Staff: Currently 3 PTs and 3 PTAs; 2 PTs needed for day shift (7 AM - 5 PM)
- Patient Load: Up to 6 patients per day, 8-hour shift
- Equipment: ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, gym equipment, vital machines
- EMR System: Meditech Magic
- Therapy Requirement: Patients have a 3-hour therapy requirement daily; clinicians track time/charges to meet this
Required Qualifications
- Current PT licensure
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation setting
- Neuro certification or experience
Typical Procedures
- Evaluation and treatment
- Daily treatment including gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, caregiver training
Work Environment & Culture
- Team player with flexibility for start/stop treatment times
- Rotating weekends
- Hands-on clinician role
