Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Unit

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center, 43-bed Medical Unit
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend shifts per month recommended
Call Requirements: None

Position Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Med/Surg)
• Preferred Experience: Charge nurse experience preferred but not required; oncology skills helpful but not necessary
• Required Education: ADN
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Patient Population: Adults (18 years and older)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
• Equipment Used: VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube feeding pumps
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 43
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Float Requirements: As needed by facility
• Scheduling: Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Additional Requirements

• Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
• Med/Surg experience preferred

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
