Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

Level III Trauma Center
190-bed hospital with 24/7 Emergency Care, Cardiovascular, Cancer, Orthopedic, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Primary Care services
Teaching hospital with Joint Commission Accreditation
Operating Room equipped with robotics, microscopes, laser, specialty OR tables/beds, navigation system for craniotomy, DaVinci surgical system
Electronic Health Records: Cerner Surginet & Omnicell

Position Details

Department: Operating Room and Supplies
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Operating Room
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call required
Float Requirements: Yes
Scrub Color: Provided (Navy Blue)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Bariatric surgery experience
Vascular surgery experience
ENT surgery experience
OB/GYN experience
Neurology experience
Orthopedic surgery experience

Preferred Experience & Skills

General OR experience including Trauma, Bariatrics, Vascular, ENT, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics
Experience with robotics in surgery preferred

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

General surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Bariatrics, ENT, Vascular, Robotics
