Mammography Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Weekend Hours: None
Call Requirements: None
Facility & Unit Overview
- Level III trauma center with 198 beds
- Radiology Department, Mammography Unit (1st Floor)
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: GE imaging systems
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- Patient population served: approximately 150,000
- Common procedures: Diagnostic Mammography, biopsies, needle localizations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT certifications in Radiography (RT(R)), Mammography (RT(M)), and Breast Sonography (RT(BS))
- Breast Sonographer experience

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
