Job Overview

Unit: Medical ICU (2nd Floor ICU)
Beds: 14
Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Patient Ratio: 1:2 (charge nurse free of patients)
Patient Population: Medical ICU with sepsis, respiratory, some cardiac, and trauma patients
Equipment: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) occasionally used
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Paragon

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

Rapid response candidates needed; must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
No float requirements
No call required

Pros

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

Cons

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
