Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Travel)

Schedule

• Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (Tuesday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) with a focus on orthopedic, plastics, and OB/GYN surgical cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to ensure patient care aligns with state nursing practice acts, AORN guidelines, and hospital policies.
• Responsibilities include preparing supplies, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing in and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the OR setting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, and OB/GYN specialties
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
