Location
- Elko, Nevada

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit and Patient Population
- Acute Care Services unit with 23 beds
- Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Common diagnoses/treatments: COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatrics)
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend hours variable
- Call requirements as per contract
- Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and needs
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required within 60 days of start
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 90 days of start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to start
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing specialty (Med Surg, Telemetry preferred)

- Baxter pumps
- Masimo Monitors
- GE Telemetry Monitoring system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): MEDHOST
Additional Information
- Orientation provided weekly
- Fit testing offered on-site
- Dress code: scrubs of any color allowed, no mandatory scrub color
- No unacceptable attire specified beyond scrubs
- No prior travel experience required
