Number of Beds: 30
Number of Staff: 85
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC/Relief Charge; RN and PCT numbers vary based on census
- Night Shift: 1 CNC/Relief Charge; RN and PCT numbers vary based on census
Patient Ratios:
- ICU: 2:1
- PCU: 4:1
Equipment: Critical Care Equipment, Burn ICU and Trauma ICU Technology
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), specifically Trauma and Burn ICU experience
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

BSN degree
CCRN certification

Typical Procedures Performed

Wound care
Codes (emergency response)
External Ventricular Drains (EVDs)
Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)

Work Environment & Culture

Team-based atmosphere
Encouraged to ask questions and offer help to others
Floating Areas: MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per pay period
