Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • EFM
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Post Partum experience

Preferred

  • BSN

Unit Details

  • 14 labor and delivery beds
  • 9 antepartum beds
  • Patient ratios: 1:1 for final stage labor or C-section; 1:4 for antepartum
  • Floating may include postpartum

Common Responsibilities

  • Care for laboring patients
  • Assist in the OR with C-sections

Work Environment

  • Core staff includes RNs and CSTs
  • Weekend and call rotation may apply
  • Scrub color: royal blue
