Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute Care unit with 41 beds
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
• Common diagnoses/treatments: Heart failure, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hip and knee replacements
• Float requirement: May be floated to other departments caring for the same patient population
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation & Additional Information

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• No call requirements
• Dress code: Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified
• Personality fit: Patient-oriented and team player
