Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement, prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, prior to start date

Role Summary

• Provides direct nursing care on the assigned unit
• Coordinates patient care with the interdisciplinary team
• Provides patient education to support safe discharge

Key Responsibilities

• Completes daily rounds and addresses unmet patient care needs
• Develops and updates plans of care based on patient assessment
• Assesses patient condition, pain, and nursing needs, then takes appropriate action
• Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition, including emergencies
• Communicates patient observations to the care team and documents them accurately
• Begins discharge planning early and provides education and counseling to patients and families
• Delegates nursing interventions within scope of practice and competence
• Performs other assigned duties
