Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • Rotating holidays

Unit Overview

  • Hospital-based medical-surgical unit with a small oncology component
  • Cares for post-surgical oncology, general medical-surgical, bariatric, palliative, and end-of-life patients
  • Typical patient ratio: 5:1; maximum 6:1

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1 year of oncology experience
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • Med Surg experience

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care/inpatient hospital setting

Additional Notes

  • Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification before clinical care; training and certification opportunities are provided
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
