Schedule

• Days, 4x10hr shifts
• On-call status to be discussed during interview
• May be required to work nights and/or weekends for identified positions

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Colorado
• 1 year of CVOR Technologist experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• High school diploma or GED, plus graduation from a formal surgical technologist program
• Experience working with Cardiovascular Surgery patients

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital

Job Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties and maintains sterile supplies and sterile technique
• Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
• Assembles, organizes, and completes case carts according to doctor’s preference lists
• Provides instrumentation, suture, and supplies as requested and maintains a sterile environment
• May assist surgeon by passing instruments during cases
• Counts sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and established policy
• Assists with specimen care and preparation for laboratory analysis
• Handles specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps according to policy and standards of practice
• Assists with timely turnover of rooms, including cleanup, replacement, and restocking of supplies and equipment
• Cares for instruments and equipment
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
