Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across various settings and throughout the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The RN provides leadership through roles such as precepting, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts. Delegation of patient care is based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. Strong communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are essential. Participation in committees or projects may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
